01 User Research
Hypothesizing that other SSENSE customers face the same pain points I often do with online retail, I proceeded with user research, including surveys and market research.
02 Storyboarding — Pain Points
Based on the aforementioned user research I conducted, I began to develop and analyze SSENSE’s customer journey through both desktop and mobile user experiences.
Pain Points
Users are hesitant to purchase a piece because they are not sure it will fit. Common solutions here include posting on Reddit to ask how it fit on other users.
Users often find that the garment they order does not fit like they assumed it would, so they end up returning it, decreasing user conversion rate.
Users are hesitant to purchase pieces they are not sure would fit with the rest of their wardrobe.
Users want instantaneous feedback regarding styling and sizing.
Returns don’t align well with SSENSE brand values regarding sustainability.
